EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique
It was with Karl Dawson an EFT Master who studied with Gary Craig the founder of EFT that I become an EFT Practitioner at the beginning of 2009. Then continuing on my studies and case studies I later became an Advanced Practitioner later in 2009. An early realisation showed me how much this method and technique was helping many people. Often where many other methods had failed. In particular I helped many clients that had experienced severe emotional trauma such as rape , sexual, domestic abuse and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
During this time, I also helped a range of clients with varying issues; weight-loss, addictions, low self-esteem, anxiety for example. However, there was a pattern forming. Many clients were experiencing such a lack of self-love at a core level and this was having a knock-on effect.
My association with Michael Losier who I studied the Law of Attraction with in Canada in 2008, brought a new dynamic to my Practice. I pulled the Law of Attraction and EFT together, after seeing how beneficial it was to clients moving forward. You could almost say that this course was already being formed back then.
What is EFT?
EFT is the abbreviation of Emotional Freedom Technique. Often described as acupuncture without the needles this ‘Tapping’ method is a form of counselling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine and Thought Field Therapy (TFT).
EFT works by releasing blockages within the energy system. These blockages are what can often be the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. In addition to challenging us emotionally these will often lead to limiting beliefs, behaviours and the inability to live harmoniously.
Symptoms are either emotional and/or physical and can include a lack of self-confidence as well as self-esteem issues. Due to the popularity of EFT as well as other energy and alternative therapies it is now widely accepted that emotional disharmony is a key factor in physical symptoms and dis-ease.
